Betty Jean Rolison

Betty Jean Rolison (Hudson) age 94, of Denver, Colorado passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022. Born May 5, 1928, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Mattie Thomas and Henry Hudson Sr. Betty was the oldest of three and the only girl. She began cooking and taking care of people at an early age. She was a self-educated woman who held on strongly to her beliefs. Betty would later move to Denver, Colorado where she met and married Dillard Rolison Jr. Betty and Dillard raised 7 children and remained married until the end of Dillard’s life in 2007.

Betty is survived by her children; Donald Rolison, Beverly Patton, Dillard Rolison lll, Wesley Rolison, and Melody Rolison. Grandchildren; Renee Lipscomb, Michelle Lipscomb, Donald (Michelle) Rolison Jr., Lataisha (Calvin) Young, Ebone (Wendell) Cole, Kaliesha (Charles) Caldwell, Sarah Smith, Jose (Jennifer) Rolison, Jalyce (Jasmine) Williams, Caprice (JD) Johnson, Elizabeth Rolison, LaQuoia (Marcus) Johnson, Dillard Rolison lV, Tia (Samson) Bynes, Steven Wilkins, Sequoia Williams, Marcel Williams, Bryton Rolison, Darius Rolison, Daevon (Danielle) Pollard, and host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dillard Rolison Jr, Daughter Norma Rolison, Son Jose Rolison and Great Grandson Trevon Lambert and Great Granddaughter Natasha Padrone.

A visitation for Betty will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Zion Baptist Church, 933 E 24th Ave,, Denver, CO 80205. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235.

Serving as pallbearers are Donald Eugene Rolison Jr., Larry Hudson, Darius Rolison, Marcel & Jalyce Williams, Steven Wilkson and James Daevon Pollard.
