

Our Mom, Bonnie Joan Willner Bailey Tenud, born on April 25, 1932 in Englewood, Colorado, passed away February 23, 2014 in Thornton, Colorado. Her birth name was Joan Holiday. She was adopted by Esther and Jack Willner and they renamed her Bonnie. She was named after a friend of her favorite cousin.
Bonnie attended Denver schools: Teller Elementary, Aaron Gove Junior High, and East High School; graduating in 1950. At age 15 she met Edgar Forrest Bailey. Three years later they were married on September 10, 1950 in Englewood, Colorado. They were divorced in November of 1977. Bonnie and Ed had 3 children; Tom Forrest, Brooke Alyson (Bruce), and Susan Joan. Ed died of Diabetes July, 1991.
Bonnie met Emile Joseph Tenud in May of 1978. They were married at a court house on December 16, 1980, then a religious ceremony at their home in Sacramento, California on December 27, 1980.
Emile died of lung cancer August 13, 1989 and Bonnie moved back to Colorado in 1992. She would be close to her 4 grandchildren; Dana Bailey (Hollingworth), Micheal Bailey (Sarah), Lindsay Gardner, and Samantha Gardner. She also had 2 great-grandchildren; Bastian Bailey and Alexsis Bailey.
Bonnie traveled through Switzerland In July of 1988 with Emile learning about the country Emile was from. She was an avid reader and read 100’s of books in her lifetime. In fact, she kept a log of all the books she had read. She also read the morning newspaper from front to back every morning, finishing up with all the cross word puzzles at the end. Because of this, she had an amazing vocabulary, was very intelligent and understood every current event happening at that particular time.
