Bonnie Withers was a beloved grandma, mom, wife, and friend during her incredible 81 years of life. She passed away the morning of Sunday, February 5, 2023, and will be remembered for her loving nature, playfulness, and occasional endearing stubbornness.
Bonnie had a long and full life. She was born on April 14, 1941, in Seattle, WA to her parents Richard and Lois. Soon after being born her family moved to Colorado where she was raised with her siblings. On February 15, 1959, Bonnie married her soulmate Donald L. Withers and had 3 children Donald L III, John, and Troy. After Don retired, Don and Bonnie took to the road in their RV, visiting family and fun places around the states. After Don’s passing in 2020, Bonnie did her best to enjoy life without her best friend.
Bonnie’s primary lifetime occupation was a homemaker, but she never stopped at that. She held various positions including a florist, seamstress and a foster parent. Her hobbies/interests included quilting, bingo, trips to Blackhawk and spending time with family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her children Donny III(Susan) and Troy (Tracy). Grand children Farrah (Justin), Stephanie (Will), Dylan, Neveah, and Shelby. Great grandchildren Brianna, Jennica and Alex. Adopted grandchildren Chrissy and Teri Janssen, Estrella, Tony, and Ryleigh along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was (Grandma) to many foster children of Adams County. Husband Don, son John and granddaughter Jamie, “deceased ”. Bonnie was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
