

Brian was a skilled carpenter with a strong work ethic; he worked alongside his father since he was a young boy. Brian was athletic and enjoyed watching professional sports, specifically football, he liked weight lifting and was physically fit his entire life, he was a talented artist, drawing in his spare time, loved classic cars and enjoyed spending time outdoors, and created a beautiful flower and vegetable garden every year. Brian was also an amazing caregiver for his father.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Lawrence and Lois Hopkins and Leroy and Marilyn Widler, uncle Lonnie Widler, aunt Sheila Havner, uncle Jim Havner, cousin Seth Havner, and his beloved mother Linda Phillips.
Brian is survived by his father Steven Hopkins, sisters Kim Rivera (David), Tammy Souza (John), Laurie Carbajal (Jose), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Souza Residence, 4426 Lacewood Ln., Johnstown, Co 80534, Sunday, July 19th, 2026 at 1:30pm.
