Cajetan Chimento, also known as Guy, was born on October 10, 1936 and passed away September 27, 2023 at the age of 86. Cajetan lived a full life with his beloved wife Mary Ann and his children Eric Chimento, Alan Chimento (Rachel), Celeste Diller (Loren) and Linda Casey (Robert). He had eight grandchildren, Lisa Hermes (Anthony), Christopher Diller (Elisha), Rachel Sienko (Mike), Ivan Diller (Aria), Paul Casey (Mie), Natalie Diller, Allison Chimento and Audrey Chimento. And 12 great-grandchildren: Isaac, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Claire, and Ethan Hermes. Hanae, Elio, and Rixen Diller. Casey, Brooklynn, William, and Lucy Sienko.
Cajetan was born on the kitchen table into your classic, loving, and boisterous Italian family in Pueblo Colorado. He was raised Catholic by his father and mother Gaetano and Nancy Chimento alongside his five siblings Russell, Margaret, Susan, Rose, and Ida.
From a young age Cajetan was a promising french horn player and played in the symphony orchestra. In 1958 he was drafted into the Navy and attended the University of Heidelberg in Germany and The University of Colorado. Later Cajetan also served as a fireman at Buckley Airfield, and an Inhalation Therapist at Rose Medical Center.
In 1959 Cajetan Married the love of his life Mary Ann Depperschmidt and not long after began a family of their own. Cajetan’s love for music inspired him and his wife to open their own music store, Chimento Music Center. There he taught lessons and repaired instruments, sharing his passion with others.
Cajetan, alongside his wife Mary Ann, were never afraid to try new things or meet new people. From teaching, leading 4H, cooking, photography, ceramics, bee keeping, raising pheasants, soap making, hydroponics, traveling and much more, together they truly shared a life of adventure.
Cajetan was always known for his incredible wit and was always someone you could count on for a good story. His legacy has been carried on to each generation of the family and is unforgettable to those who knew him. Cajetan was quite literally the best “Guy” many knew, and will be greatly missed by all.

A rosary for Cajetan will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church, 900 W. Midway Blvd., Broomfield, CO. A memorial mass will occur Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 900 W. Midway Blvd., Broomfield, CO. A reception will occur Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 900 W. Midway Blvd., Broomfield, CO. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
