Carol Louise Raab-Farley never met a stranger during the 62 years she graced this plane of existence. Carol was an adventurer and people person from the time she was born on March 4, 1961, in Staunton, IL. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 1983, allowing her the opportunity to work on excavation sites abroad in Paestum, Italy, and her hometown of Edwardsville, IL.
She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force from 1987 to 1990 in Alaska and Colorado. In 1991, she began her family in Colorado, raising her daughter, Shanna, and her son, Alex. She took pride in sharing the wonders of the world with her children through her love of travel, art and culture.
Carol’s true-life passion was connecting to the human experience through art and music. Though never widely shared with the public, Carol conceived of a new style of art that utilized sheet music and shape silhouettes. She was dedicated to her art throughout her life. In 2023 she was diagnosed with cancer, and passed away on the evening of December 16 in the home where she raised her family. Her friends and family will remember her fondly for her kindness and cheerful nature.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 20 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Anythink Library-Pearl Mack, 7611 Hilltop Cir., Denver, CO 80221.
