Charles “Chuck” Galey, 93, of Federal Heights, Colorado passed peacefully on January 3, 2024. He was born on December 5,1930 in Martinsville, Illinois to Rolla Galey and Madge Hollingsworth Galey. He worked in the construction field after military service in the U.S. Navy. Chuck owned and managed Parkside Mobile Village and RV Park. He lived most of his adult life in Colorado. He and his wife, Juanita, enjoyed numerous adventures throughout the Southwest from a homebase in New Mexico.
Charles is survived by and will be greatly missed by his son, Joshua D. Galey; grandson, Jonathan Galey and partner, Salena Dietrich; granddaughter, Chandra Galey and partner, Dakota Swanson; great-granddaughters, Riley and Allie Swanson; sister, Louise Cahoon; and brother, Stan Galey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Galey; son, Tim Galey; sisters, Lila Rae Pepper and Linda Inman; and brother, Lowell Galey.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., followed by graveside service and interment at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Olinger Funeral, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado.
A celebration of his life will be held at Parkside Mobile Village maintenance garage on Friday, January 19 at 5 pm.
