Chiyoko Terasaki was born in Bingen, Washington. She eventully moved to Colorado, where she met Harry Terasaki. They married and had two children, Howard and Kathy.
Chiyoko worked for Safeway for a number of years.
She passed quietly in her home on May 8, 2013.
Chiyoko is survived by her children, Howard and Kathy; grand-daughter, Erin; sisters, Mitzuko Mitamura and Betty Tsutsumi.
