Connie was born on May 19, 1945, at her mother's, Mary Montero, home in northeast Denver by the way of a midwife.
Connie attended Sacred Heart Elementary and Middle School and Annunciation High School. She received her GED later in life after the birth of her children.
Connie held many positions in life outside of being a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, family member, and friend. She worked mostly hard labor jobs but ended her working career as a telecommunicator who retired her when she fell ill and was unable to work.
Connie enjoyed teaching catechism, volunteering, and being involved with the church. She was a devoted Catholic. Connie was a very compassionate, loving, and giving person. She loved her children and her grandchildren with her whole heart. She would always find the light in any situation; her smile was so contagious. Connie prayed her rosary every night and wouldn't skip a beat even if she didn't feel good, her rosary is what made her heart whole. She was an advisor to anyone that came to her for help. She would always pray for anyone even if she didn't know them personally or even if she just met them. Prayer was one of the most important things to Connie.
Connie lived with her mother until she passed in October 1998. She moved to Westminster, CO with her daughter Andrea Vasquez, and finally in 2007 married her true heart's love Thomas Vigil. She lived in Denver's Bear Creek area until he came to pass in June, 2009. She returned home with Andrea living there until 2022 when her daughters bought a home made especially for her.
Connie enjoyed traveling with her mother to Juarez Mexico for the yearly shopping of turtle cream, cinnamon, booze, new dentures, and a new hair perm. She enjoyed being around family and friends, for memories good and bad. She also enjoyed playing her coloring games and word searches on her tablet, and watching her action movies and TV series Blue Bloods and Hawaii 5-0.
Connie was survived by her daughters, Andrea Vasquez(John Riedesel) and Maria Elena Vigil(Benjamin Vigil). Grandchildren Hope Cardoza, Christine Valdez(Danny Valdez), Joseph Vasquez, Marguerite Williams, and Victoria Vigil. Great grandchildren Aaliyah Williams, Unique Martinez, Jeremiah Vasquez, Alexah Vasquez, Jaymee Martinez, Santana Vasquez, Athena Martinez and Emery Vasquez. Goddaughters Suzanne Alva, Frances Gomez, and Adriana Palacios, and several family members and friends.
