Cyril "Red" Artis Quick

Artis was the son of Eugene and Lillie (Williams) Quick. He grew up in Colorado, where he attended Palmer High School and graduated. On May 22, 1954, he married the love of his life, Beverley Ann. Together they shared fifty-eight wonderful years of marriage before her passing on March 3, 2012, building a life centered on faith, family, and love.

Artis and Beverley were blessed with five children: John, Debbie, Janet, Donna, and Thomas., He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. They were truly his world, and he left a lasting influence on each of them. They looked up to him not only for his wisdom but also for the example he set. The lessons he taught about being kind-hearted, hardworking, and caring continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and their families.

A dedicated and hardworking man throughout his life, Artis was the owner and operator of Quick's Backhoe Service, where he earned the respect of many through his strong work ethic and commitment to his customers. In 2018, Artis made Salem, Missouri, his home where he operated Walking Q Farms. He enjoyed raising cattle, working on his farm, and spending countless hours on his tractor.

Artis was a man of deep faith who believed in keeping God at the center of his home. Alongside Beverley, he raised his family with Christian values, teaching by example the importance of kindness, honesty, and hard work.

Artis is survived by his children: John Quick and wife Debra of Thornton, CO, Debbie Koch and husband Gary of Denver, CO, Donna Stallman of Denver, CO, and Thomas Joseph Quick and wife Ariella of Thornton, CO; sixteen grandchildren; an abundance of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife: Beverley Quick; daughter: Janet Staton, parents: Eugene and Lillie Quick; and all his siblings.

Artis will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family. He created a legacy that will continue for generations and his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him!
