Darrell Russell D. R. Adkins, 85, of Broomfield, CO passed away on January 19, 2010 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bonnie and his four children, son Kenny, daughters Carol, Debbie, and Missy. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Darrell was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Navy from 1942 - 1945, including combat operations in the European Theater. Darrell was also an interstate truck driver and retired from Teamsters Local #961 in Denver in 1987 after 39 years of accident free driving. Visitation, Thursday, 01/21/2010 from 4:00PM-8:00PM. Service, Friday, 01/22/2010 at 12:00PM. Both at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery. Burial to follow service.
