

Survived by wife (of 68 years) Ann Oehrle; children Theresa, Daniel, Kathy (David), Matthew; daughter-in-law Nora; grandchildren Deanna, Wendy, Tammy, Jim, Mark, Brian, Brittany and Ryan; great grandchildren Lilly, B.J., Tanner and Jaymeson; sister Barbara Wienecke and by many loving friends and Parish associates. He was preceded in death by son Kevin Oehrle; son-in-law Tom Haverty; sister Mary Sparacino; brother-in-law Joe Sparacino and by his parents Leslie E. and Nora T. Oehrle.
Leo was a Denver Native. He went to public grade schools and graduated from Cathedral High School. He served at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as an alter server, snow shoveler and lawn mower. He was a cantor, a choir member for 10 years, in the Cathedral choir for 2 years and was a member of the melodramatic group ‘La Frantics’. He was employed in trucking for 60 years. He served with his wife, Ann, in Sacrament Preparation for 15 years, and served in Deaconate Ministries for over 20 years. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, loving spirit and his devotion to God and family.
Viewing Wednesday, May 6th, 4:00-6:30pm with a Vigil at 6:30pm, at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229.
On Thursday, May 7th services will be held as follows: Viewing 12:30pm-2:00pm and Mass of Christian Burial 2:00-3:00pm all at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Dr., Northlgenn, CO 80233. A reception will immediately follow in Cabrini Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Denver.
