Della J. Mascarenas, 82, of Commerce City CO peacefully passed on November 4, 2011. Della is preceded in death by parents Jacob & Antonia Martinez; and brothers Orlando & John. She is survived by husband Pete; children Anthony, Sylvia, Jackie, Pete, Augustine, Arthur & Andres; beloved sister Sally Baca; brothers Ed Martinez, Jake Martinez & sister-in-law Ruth Martinez; 9 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives, friends & neighbors. She will be remembered for her loving and kind heart, her deep love and care for her family, and her gentle spirit. We will miss her with all of our hearts until we meet again. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9th from 4 - 7pm followed by a Rosary at 7pm. Both at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 N Grant St, Thornton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, 9:30 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham, Thornton. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery so Della can be near her parents. Burial scheduled for Thursday at 12pm. A reception at Holy Cross Catholic Church will follow the burial.
