Dennis met and married the love of his life, Mary, in 1965. He served in the United States Navy, stationed in Jacksonville, FL with Mary, before they returned home to Colorado. Dennis served as a Denver Police Officer for 32 years while continuing his service in the United States Naval Reserves. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, touring the country with Mary in their RV, and had a passion for woodworking.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary; his children, Dennis (Gail) and Melissa (Paul); and his grandchildren , Heather (Michael), Megan (Austin), Adam, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and A. Kathy Moon, and his daughter, Christine.
A funeral service will be held on June 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with a graveside service immediately following. Visitation available from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Services will be held at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant ST. Thornton, CO 80229.
