Don was born February 21, 1972, in Chetek, Wisconsin to Rodney Davis and Christine Crist. Don grew up in Bloomer, WI and later relocated to Denver, CO with his family. Don loved playing sports, hunting with his father and siblings, and was a gifted craftsman. Don loved the outdoors and would frequently joke about running away to the mountains to “live off the land.” Don was an exceptionally talented welder and mechanic. There never existed an engine that he could not get running, and 30 years in the welding industry gave Don the ability to lay a bead like a stack of dimes. His work ethic was only matched by the love he had for his family. He loved being a father and loved being a grandfather even more.
Don is survived by the mother of his children, April Davis of Broomfield, CO; his daughters, Jennette Gaines (Chris), Kayla Davis, and Jessica Davis (Gabriel); his mother Christine Zwadlo (Bill) of Chetek, WI; his father Rodney Davis (Carol) of Bonners Ferry, ID; His brothers, Dan Davis of Bloomer, WI, Kerry Davis of Saranac Lake, NY; His sisters, Mashell Davis(Tim) of Des Moines, IA, Nicole Zwadlo of Bloomer, WI; and five grandchildren, June, Izzabella, Donivan, Sabrina, and Skya. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him immensely.
Services will be held during the upcoming summer season to give out of state relatives the opportunity to attend.
