She is survived by four children; Sandy Patterson of Firestone CO (husband Rick), Chuck Brannon of Phoenix AZ (wife Denise), David Brannon of Fort Collins CO (wife Kathy) and Jeanne Mikulics of Poway CA (husband Mark);, by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Ken Kudrna of Westminster CO, Edith Welch of Denver CO, and Inez Grahek of Oskaloosa IA. Doris was laid to rest with her husband Dean at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her and will be forever in our hearts.
Doris was a wonderful mother who worked tirelessly her whole life to provide for her family. She loved gardening at home and hiking and skiing the Colorado mountains. Not content to work a job all day and take care of the family by night she also spent time remodeling parts of her houses to keep them up to date. She was an accomplished dancer to the old swing music and found a great companion in Jerry Ward in San Diego after her husband Dean had passed, with whom she cut the rug well into her 80’s.
