Doris Louise Forbes passed away peacefully on August 3, 2018 in Greeley, Colorado. She was born in Brush, Colorado on March 29, 1951. She is survived by her husband of 48 years David Forbes, daughter Melissa (David) Severence, sons Joshua (Kelsey) Forbes, and Travis Forbes. Grandchildren Sydney (David) Engel, Scott Rudy, Benjamin Forbes, Parker and Greyson Forbes and great granddaughter Mackenzie Engel.
She is also survived by her sisters Lois (Roy) Bales, Hoa (Mike) Williams, and brothers Dean (Darlene) Grosshans, and Kirk Grosshans as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Doris liked to travel and had the privilege of traveling to Italy with her husband while serving in the USAF. Upon return to the US they started their family and settled in Colorado.
Doris' passions were her children and grandchildren, as well as traveling, gardening, cooking and her crafts.
Even while battling her disease she was caring and loving and never strayed from her stong belief in God.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Services will be held on August 9, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 650 South Park Avenue, Fort Lupton, Colorado.
