

Edward was known for his hardworking nature, gentle demeanor, and steadfast dedication to those he loved. He approached life with humility and grace, finding joy in simple moments and pride in a job well done. His calm presence and generous heart left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Patricia Whalen, and his sister, Diane. He is survived by his two children, Joni Spangler and Colby Whalen; his two grandchildren, Joseph and Michael Watson; and his siblings, Dean(Patty), Tom(Cindy), Connie, Linda(Chris), and Sherry(Tim).
A memorial service to honor Edward’s life will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado.
A reception will follow from 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center, 11151 Colorado Boulevard, Thornton, Colorado. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
Edward Whalen will be remembered for his quiet strength, his gentle spirit, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who knew him.
