

Edwin C. VonFeldt, 86, of Thornton, passed away November 23, 2013 in Denver. He was born in St. Peter, KS on August 21, 1927 to Michael and Eva (Richmeier) VonFeldt. He married Phyllis Mary Simon on May 10, 1958 in Denver, CO.
Ed served in the US Army from 1952-1954 at Fort Ord in California, during the Korean War receiving a National Defense Service Medal. He was a forklift operator with Nabisco for 34 years while simultaneously working at Adams 12 School District for 13 years. He retired in 1989.
Ed is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Thornton; children John (Belinda) VonFeldt of Northglenn and Peter (Liane) VonFeldt of Grand Junction; grandchildren Sabrina (Sam) Messerli of Thornton, Nicholas Pennington of Commerce City, Timothy (Breana) Pennington of Thornton, Jamie Pennington of Northglenn and Jamie VonFeldt of Grand Junction; great grandchildren Alyssa & Alexander Messerli of Thornton, Destiny Pennington of Northglenn and Persephine Pennington of Thornton.
He is preceded in death by his parents Micheal and Eva, brothers: Lawrence, Albert, Alfred, Virgil and his twin Elmer, sisters: Firmena, Irene and Genevieve(Jenny), Daughter Jananne Pennington, step granddaughter Jennifer Kois and granddaughter Amanda VonFeldt.
