Elric is 33 years old born to Veronica and Richard Franco on August 14th,1987 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. For those who truly care Elric passed in his sleep, safe at home with his family who cared for and adored him.
A proud scorpion, he graduated from Dolores Huerta Preparatory High after attending Cesar Chavez Academy. He moved from Pueblo to attend Community College of Denver where he became involved in the organization MEChA as well as the Chicano and activist community at large.
Elric was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He was a fast learner and excelled in his positions. He was currently employed at Big Lots as the FLM and boasted the highest sales in his district. His charisma and humor earned him a loyal clientele. Elric could sell water to a drowning man.
Elric is survived by his mother Veronica Franco, his father Richard Franco, his big sisters Angelica and Yvonne Franco, his only nephew/ahijado Richard, his nieces/ahijadas Victoria, Teresa, Angelica and Nia, his pride and joy daughter, Briseis.
Elric wasn’t perfect and he never tried to be. He was hard to deal with but easy to love, an awesome contradiction. For every fault he had, and he was the first to admit he had many, they were out shown by his good and compassionate qualities that not even he recognized in himself. We know what we had in Elric good or bad, wrong or right he was ours. It will be impossible not to feel the absence of his contagious laughter, quick snarky humor and the strong energy we felt in his presence. He came into the world loved with a fierceness and he makes his journey to and within the spirit world, deeply missed and more fiercely loved.
“Your presence we miss, Your memory we treasure,
Loving you always, Forgetting you never”
-As I Sit In Heaven-
As I sit in heaven
And watch you everyday,
I try to let you know with signs
That I never went away.
I hear you when your laughing,
And watch you as you sleep.
I even place my arms around you
To calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away
Begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs
So you know your not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have
A life that was denied to me.
Heaven is truly beautiful.
Just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again,
enjoy yourself and be free.
Then I know with every breath you take,
You'll be taking one for me.
