

Born in Denver, she lived in Globeville and North Denver before she and her husband Eldon Sauer moved to Broomfield in 1956, where she lived until moving into The Oberon House in Arvada. Her life in Broomfield kept her active with her church, scouting, and many other community activities. She worked for the city of Broomfield, as well as Lange Ski Boot Company. After retirement, she volunteered at the Broomfield Senior Center alongside her husband Eldon.
She and Eldon were married in 1942 and celebrated 60 years together. They enjoyed camping and fishing, and did some traveling with her sisters and their husbands. Eldon passed in 2002.
Loving mother to Tim Sauer (Anna, deceased), Fred Sauer (Carol), Mary Forester (Lew), grandmother to Lorrie Reynolds, Kay Sauer (deceased), Heidi Kosmicki (Jarrod), Amber Sauer, Sara Rumbaugh (Dan), great grandmother to Kirah Taylor, Bryse Taylor (Susie), Logan Rumbaugh, Joshua Rumbaugh, and great-great grandmother to Kaiden Taylor and Declan Taylor, along with several nieces and nephews.
