Estela Rosas

Estela Rosas of Denver, CO passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Aurora, CO. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on February 27, 1940 in Laredo, TX to Marcos and Juanita Rodriguez.

Estela will fondly be remembered for her passion of community. She devoted thousands of hours of community service through the local food bank and her beloved church. Her children and grand children will never forget the love she shared through her amazing cooking. She loved cooking with and for her children and grandchildren, and those precious memories will never be forgotten.

Estela is survived by her husband Felix Rosas, her children, Lauro Chapa, Ernest Chapa (Mary), David Chapa (Veronica), Ninfa Vossenkemper (Eric), Reynaldo Chapa, and Yolanda Colunga, whom she loved and considered as another daughter and a full host of grand children, great grand children and great great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marcos and Juanita Rodriguez, her siblings, Freddie, Marcos, Marcos, Raymond and Eloisa. Her children Robert Chapa and Yolanda Galindo.

Services for Estela will be Tuesday June 13, 2023 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 1243 Kingston St., Aurora, Co

Public visitation- 9:00 am to 10:00am

Catholic Mass- 10:30

Estela Rosas de Denver, CO falleció el martes 30 de mayo de 2023 en Aurora, CO. Siempre será recordada como una amorosa esposa, madre, abuela y amiga de todos los que la conocieron y amaron. Nació el 27 de febrero de 1940 en Laredo, TX de Marcos y Juanita Rodríguez.

Estela será recordada con cariño por su pasión para la comunidad. Dedicó miles de horas de servicio comunitario a través del banco de alimentos local y a su amada iglesia. Sus hijos y nietos nunca olvidarán el amor que compartió a través de su increíble comida. Le encantaba cocinar para sus hijos y nietos, y esos preciosos recuerdos nunca se olvidarán.

A Estela le sobreviven su esposo Félix Rosas, sus hijos Lauro Chapa, Ernest Chapa (Mary), David Chapa (Verónica), Ninfa Vossenkemper (Eric), Reynaldo Chapa y Yolanda Colunga, a quien amaba y consideraba como una hija más y toda una multitud de nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres Marcos y Juanita Rodriguez, sus hermanos, Freddie, Marcos, Marcos, Raymond y Eloisa. Sus hijos Robert Chapa y Yolanda Galindo.

Los servicios para Estela serán el martes 13 de junio de 2023 en St. Therese Catholic Church, 1243 Kingston St., Aurora, Co.
