

"Snook" was born May 1, 1934 and passed away August 29, 2018, he was 84 years old. He was born in Randolph, Nebraska. The family later moved to Brighton, Colorado and then to Morrison, Colorado. He went to Bear Creek High School and worked as a wrangler herding horses in the summer time. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy where he spent almost four years serving his country during the Korean War. When he came back he worked in construction and later learned bricklaying, which became his lifetime occupation.
He married Erline Keys on April 6, 1957. They bought a home in Westminster, Colorado where they lived their lives. He rode motorcycles and bowled for recreation. He later joined the VFW and served as Commander of his post for many years.
Snook lived at his home until May of 2017. He lived his last year at a nursing home after falling and breaking both hips.
He was preceded in death by his wife Erline, his brother, John Courtney, brother-in-laws, Frank Lagure and Jim Folsom and nephew Gene.
He is survived by sisters, Twyla, Dixie Sharon and Bobbie and brother Jonas. Also nephews and nieces - Jesse, John, Jeff, Julie and Jeff Steven, Deanna, Cary, Shelly, Renna and Valerie, Stephine, Cindy, Terry and Clay, Christine and Kenny.
He will be missed.
A memorial service with Navy Honors, will occur at the Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, September 29, 2018 beginning at 1:30 PM located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado. A private graveside service for "Snook" will take place at Olinger Highland Cemetery.
