Frank A. (Swede) Lilja. Born January 11, 1927. Passed away December 17, 2009. Frank left this earth surrounded by family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to everyone that knew him. He will be remembered for all the great jokes and stories he loved to share. Frank was preceded in death by many he loved but none more than his beloved wife of more than 56 years, Mary. He is survived by his children Frank (Mary) Lilja, Randy (Tina) Lilja and Linda (Doug) Berntson, grandchildren Erik, Phillip (Michelle), Michael (Kari), Nick Berntson, Tim Boddy and Jeff Clark, great-grandsons Logan and Noah, siblings Hilda Lilja, Connie Lawson, and Glenn Lilja and brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Rose Cupelli. Frank is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and dear friends. Visitation Sunday, 2PM-5PM at Highland Mortuary. Rosary Monday at 7PM and Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11AM, both at Immaculate Conception Church in Lafayette. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Donations may be made in Frank's name to the Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, Lafayette Fire Dept. or Immaculate Conception Church. Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
