

Gary Dean Baker was born September 16, 1936 in Roswell, NM. He graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1954. He served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1957. Gary received his Bachelor Degree in Bible Studies and Greek from Colorado Christian University of Denver. Gary is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patsy Sue Baker. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Barbara Ann Rappenecker of Thornton, Colorado, Rebecca Sue McElyea of Advance, NC, and Debora Dean Baker-Sample of Raleigh, NC. They also have 3 grandchildren, Lensey Ann McElyea, Abigail Rose Baker-Sample, and Nathanial Dean Baker-Sample. Gary’s parents, Luther Vernon Baker and Elma Noreen Baker preceded him in death. He is survived by his Sister Dinah Baker Robinson of Albuquerque, NM and his Brother John Caleb Baker of Albuquerque, NM as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Gary worked for Los Alamos Scientific Laboratories. He was the Captain for the Fire Department for NASA in Las Cruces, NM. He was also an Electrician for Boeing in Seattle, Washington. Gary and Pat moved to Denver, CO in 1972 and worked for Rocky Flats as a Planner Analyst and retired in 1992. Gary Pastored 2 Churches and was very active at First Southern Baptist of Northglenn.
A visitation will be held Sunday, May 17 from 4 - 6pm; Funeral Services on Monday, May 18 at 10am.
