Genevieve G. Martinez

Genevieve G. Martinez, passed away on Monday September 3, 2018. Genevieve was born Thursday, August 4, 1932 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Carmen Perez and Francisco Gonzales. The family moved to California and lived there for three years before relocating to Colorado. Genevieve attended parochial schools and grew up to have a family of her own. She had four loving children and she worked extremely hard to provide for them. She ventured many avenues from working for the Martin Company, to the Airport, to Safeway, along with various others. Genevieve loved reading, cooking, hosting holiday dinners for the family, and she firmly believed that, “You’re never too old to go back to school.” She was loving, kind, and the true core of the family. She is loved by many: her siblings: Mary Lopez, Victor Gonzales (deceased), Joseph Gonzales (deceased), Jennie Tapia (deceased); her children: Julie M. Martinez, Genevieve K. Martinez, Richard (BobbyJean), M. Martinez , Nathan (Nanette) P. Martinez (deceased); her grandchildren: Richard (Jessica) P. Martinez, Gina (Patricio) N. Mora, Christa Cordova (deceased), Monty Montez Jr., Richard (Lindsey) M. Martinez Jr., Jonathan Mondragon, Janelle Martinez, Nathan P. Martinez Jr., Jessica (Franky) Rodriguez, and Chantal Martinez; her great-grandchildren: Alexis Martinez, Richard P. Martinez Jr., Amani Rojas, Ernesto J. Hernandez, Marlena J. Cordova, Evony I. Guzman, Xavier R. Guzman, Angel M. Martinez, Alize G. Garcia, Edgar Garcia Jr., Anthony Mora, Elijah Mora, Alaura Mora (deceased), Ezekial Mora, Jordin Martinez, Rilynn Martinez, Elijah Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Josiah Martinez, Nathan Martinez III, Adrina Martinez, Franky Rodriguez Jr., Nevaeh Lara, Alias Rodriguez, Jonathan Mondragon Jr., and Jordan Mondragon. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a Visitation held at Olinger Highland Mortuary located at 10201 Grant St, Thornton, Colorado 80229 Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 2:00-4:00pm. There will be a Rosary to follow beginning at 4:00pm.

There will be a Funeral Service held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish located at 11385 Grant Dr., Northglenn, Colorado, 80233 on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:30am.
