Born in Philadelphia, PA, he is survived by his wife of 52 years Terry Williams, his brother Richard Williams (Ann), his son Chris Williams (Sarra), his son Matt Williams (Melina), his daughter Liza Williams (Mike), and 10 grandchildren.
Jerry grew up in Miami, FL and joined the Marine Corps when he was 17 years old, serving honorably for three years. He graduated from the University of Miami and was a lifelong Miami Hurricanes fan. He met and married Terry in 1970, and the two became the first married flight attendant team in American aviation history. He and Terry greeted their twin sons in 1974 and their daughter in 1977. Jerry coached soccer for many years and was a member of Christ the King Fellowship, the Gideons International, the American Legion, and the Veterans Honor Guard. Jerry’s life was a model of the Marine Corps slogan Semper Fidelis, “Always Faithful,” and he will be deeply missed by family and friends.
His favorite scripture was:
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
