Guy Clinton Decker

Guy grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, where he attended and graduated from Lakewood High School. During those years, his best friend, Daniel Heil, introduced him to a beautiful young woman who would become the love of his life, Patricia Irene Murphy. Guy and Patricia were married on December 15, 1965, at the First United Methodist Church in Golden, Colorado, beginning a devoted partnership that would span 60 years.

Guy proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 26 years. His service included a tour in Vietnam aboard the USS Enterprise, an experience he held with deep pride and honor. While continuing his service as a Naval reservist, Guy furthered his education by attending community college, where he earned a degree in hotel and business management.

Guy is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Patricia Decker; his daughter, Carrie Ann Tedesco (Wayne); his grandchildren, Yasmin Hayes (Bryan), Nashtun Miller (Arthur), Kiah Miller (Blake), Skyler Patterson (Richard), and Zanna Freske (Everett); and his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Zachariah, Lilith, MacKenzie, Major, Gideon, and Emma. Guy was predeceased by His parents Garald and Beulah, His brother Garald Robert and his beloved son Michael.

Guy’s legacy of love, service, and commitment will live on through the many lives he touched.
