Guy E. Thompson

Born and raised with a spirit of adventure, Guy found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He was an enthusiastic RV traveler who loved exploring the country with his family. He was especially passionate about riding ATVs and side-by-sides, spending many happy days tearing up the sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes National Park, the dunes near Walden, Colorado, and the dunes in Syracuse Kansas. Whether it was a weekend trip or a longer journey, the dunes always brought out his biggest smile.Guy cherished visits to many national parks and held a special fondness for the beautiful landscapes of South Dakota. His love for the open road and the thrill of riding created countless cherished memories for everyone who joined him.

Guy served in the Vietnam war as a Navy Seabee.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie.

He is survived by his son, Lonnie and his twin brother Max, and many other beloved relatives and Friends.

A visitation will be held on May 21, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.

The funeral service will take place on May 22, 2026, at 11:00 am followed by the committal service at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
