Harold, Betty and family cared for my sister and me when we were young. We called them Sister Betty and Uncle Fud 😁
We always felt a part of their family. 
I must've been about 5 or 6. 
We were getting ready for church and all I wanted was for my hair to be like Uncle Fuds. 
So he took me in the bathroom and did his best to make us the same. It's the little things like that we keep with us as cherished memories.  
He was a very important person to me and his values helped mold me into the man I am today. 
Harold, thank you for spending some of your time in this earth with me! 
I'm sure my sister Robin was waiting for you. 
Godspeed. 

We have lots of good memories: which should we pick? Fishing, hunting, selling donuts for the church, late nights working on the new building, wonderful visits in Colorado! Just knowing he is not here anymore makes us lonely. Looking forward to meeting again in heaven!

Harold and Betty would have been married 67 years February 12th 2020.

Harold was born on April 5, 1931 in Newburg, Missouri to Albert and Clara Warren. At the age of 16 he moved to Des Moines Iowa where he lived with his sister Pearl. 

He enlisted in the Army in July 1949. He was part of the 10th Mountain division in Leadville, Colorado where he trained. He was deployed to Korea in July 1950 with the 24th Army Division for 16 months during the Korea War. He received an Honorable Discharge from the Army on Sept 16, 1952. 

He met Bill Wooster while working at the Cab Company, who later became his father-n-law. Several other cab drivers kept telling Harold he should date Betty Wooster but, he said he didn’t have much of a chance of marrying her.

Harold and Betty had their first date January 1st, 1953, then about a month later they married on February 12, 1953. Yes, that’s right one month later they were married.

Harold and Betty enjoyed retirement by attending Craft Shows. Harold had gone into the Bee Business, at one point he had over 150 swarms of Bees. He sold the Honey and Betty sold her handmade crafts at the shows. Harold loved to spend time in the outdoors by hunt and fishing.

Harold was a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, where he played the electric Bass in the church band. 

Harold was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, five Sisters, and four Brothers and a daughter and son in law. He is survived by his Wife Betty, two daughters, one Son Jerry and his Wife, 2 Grandkids, their spouses and 4 great grandkids.


I will remember my childhood of growing up and visiting my Grandpa and all the memories I had at his house.   I remeber going over there and watching him make honeycomb from his bees.  My favorite part was eating the honeycomb and him showing us the process.

I also remember spending the night over there with my sister and the stories he would tell us.  He would sit in his rocker and read us a bee book and then tell us stories.  He also would help us wash our hands and the funniest way of talking while we washed our germs down the drain. 

We will miss you Grandpa, but we know you're in heaven with God!
