Helen L. Standish

77, passed away on November 17, 2014 peacefully in Littleton, Colorado. She was born on April 4, 1937 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Robert and Magdalena Standish. She is survived by her loving family; brother Robert W. (Jean) Standish, nephews, Daniel (Melanie) Standish, and Douglas (Christine) Standish, grand nieces and nephews; Dorsey, Kate, Ryan, Alaina, and Paul Standish, also numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Magdalena. Helen Louise Standish was born in Colorado Springs on April 4, 1937. Her family moved to Denver in 1942. A graduate of East High School, she attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara for two years. In 1958, she started her career at United Airlines as a meteorology clerk and then moved into data processing. She retired in 1999, over 40 years after starting at United. Helen had a host of interests, including travel, bird watching, her family - and last but not least, her remarkable quilting.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014, 2pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, Colorado, 80229.
