I just wanted to take a moment to thank the family for a very touching service. The memories shared painted a clear picture of how amazing Uncle Gene was. My heart goes to those closer to him, especially his siblings, children, and grandchildren. There is something to be said about a man who can have such a lasting, positive ripple effect on the lives of those around him. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with him; my heart is broken for everyone closer to Uncle Gene.
Love,
Kayde & Zack

My condolences go out to the family. I retired in 2011 and had not seen Howard or most of my friends at the Postal Service since that date. Time sure flies by and we all take things for granted that we will see another day to see our loved ones, but we just wait and before we know it, someone is gone. We neither know the minute, hour or day that God will come for us ready or not. I think of all the good and bad times we as friends had during our careers. Howard was a great person and I enjoyed being a Co-Supervisor with him. Rest in peace and may God have mercy on your soul.

Howard to a few, but always Gene to family. Someone said Gene was a gentle, kind, caring guy; so true are these words. A couple of years ago Gene and I had to make a spur of the moment rode trip to AZ to get me back there for the winter. Threw the night drive we shared the joys, sorrows and struggles of our lives. I so treasure our conversations now. He spoke emotionally of his love for his family, and the pride he had for his grandkids. He was getting himself positioned to enjoy retirement. No matter what, he was always willing to set aside his agenda to assist anyone needing a hand. I probably failed to tell him how much I respected and loved him. I shall miss him so much. Farewell my sweet brother. I know you are just beyond the sunset. Love. Vikki

I didn't know Gene very well, but he came to Lochwood Christian Fellowship several times to help Roger fix things. That was very kind of him to come help and I enjoyed getting to know him a little. He was very friendly. May the Lord comfort you all!

We cannot find enough words to express how much Gene will be missed. We have spent so much time together the past five years. What I didn't think of Gene did...I wonder how I will ever get anything done without him. Nancy and I are so heartbroken. Our lives will definately have a huge void in it. We will miss him more than words can say.
Love,
Roger and Nancy

Howard was an awesome guy. He helped me so very much when I was just becoming a supervisor. I already miss him so much.
