Ima Lucille (Wingert) Line

Ima Lucille (Wingert) Line was called home to our Lord on June 6, 2021. She passed at her home in Denver, Colorado. Ima was born in Casper, Wyoming on November 25, 1924 to Roy E. Wingert and Magdalena (Olheiser) Wingert, and had a brother, Earl Wingert. Ima’s parents and brother preceded her in death.

Ima married the love of her life, Billy Eugene Line, on November 17, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia. She lived a vibrant, meaningful life. Ima danced at the NCO Club during her husband’s service in the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia. They also operated a mink farm in Pavilion, Wyoming then Bill and Ima owned the B.E. Line Bodyshop in Shoshoni, Wyoming. Ima and Bill moved to Thornton, Colorado in 1966 where, Ima began working at Arlene’s Dress Shop in Boulder, Colorado. Following her work with Arlene's Dress Shop, Ima worked as a Teacher's Aide at John Dewey Middle School in Thornton.

She was a longtime devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Thornton, Colorado. Ima enjoyed square dancing, sewing, and crocheting. She especially enjoyed making sure each new grandchild had a newly crocheted blanket, hugs included, from their grandma.

Ima is survived by her children: Mark Line (Darlene) of Thornton, Colorado; Dana Line (Nita) of Denver, Colorado; and Roy Line (Carolyn) at Elizabeth, Colorado. She is also survived by: her sister, Eileen Kennedy and her sister-in-law, Sharon Holder. Ima was incredibly proud of her 8 grandchildren: Johnny, Lena, Danny, Stacy, Vincent, Roy, Billy, and Amanda; 14 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary for Ima will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 beginning at 4:00 PM located at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229. The Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, June 14, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham St, Thornton, Colorado 80229. The committal service will occur at 2:00 PM following the Mass located at Olinger Highland Cemetery.

I loved the opportunity to visit with Grandma & take her to get her hair done at the salon. The smile she gave me & hugs were the best feeling in the world. I had the opportunity to take Grandma to get her hair done multiple time the past few years. I will miss this time spent with her the most.
