Inez Marie Campbell was born at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Sterling, CO on July 14, 1948. She was one of six daughters born to Louis and Frances (Kirschner) Kuntz of Haxtun, CO. The family moved to Loveland, CO in 1965 and she graduated from Loveland High School in 1967. Post graduation, Inez attended Barnes Business College in Denver and enjoyed a long, successful career as an executive assistant. She married Glenn Campbell in 1973 and through this union they had one child, Dennis Campbell. Glenn preceded Inez in death in 2020 and Dennis followed in 2023. Inez is survived by her sisters, Teresa Bland of Loveland, CO, Joyce Persson of Arvada, CO, Peggy (Steve) Hamilton of Wickenburg, AZ, Glenda (Thomas) Flaten of Eaton, CO, Carolyn Talcott of Loveland, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two stepsons, Brett (Karen) Campbell, Linden, WA, and Steven (Roxanne) Campbell, Sulphur Springs, TX and their families.
Though Inez suffered from poor health throughout her life, she never allowed it to define her. She met the challenges with resolve, determination, and sheer force of will, living well beyond doctors’ expectations. Perhaps because of her frail health, Inez embraced life as a gift, finding joy in even the simplest of things. A farmer’s daughter, her vegetable garden had no rival, and she saw the beauty in all things of nature, especially her beloved mountains. Loved by all, her happiest times were always those spent with family, to whom she was devoted and loved dearly.
A woman of deep faith, Inez was alone with her Lord when she passed from this world. Though Covid 19 did not take her life, the pandemic lockdown prevented family from being by her side in her final days and at the hour of death. For those of us who loved her so deeply, the cruelty and pain of being denied a full funeral with family and friends lingers, because our sweet Inez was the one among all of us whose life was most worthy of celebration. She will be forever missed.
