Irene Woody

She met Loyde Woody in 1946 and they married in Des Moines, Iowa. They lived in Des Moines for the first 10 years, then moved to Denver. They had 3 children. They were married for 55 years until Loyde’s passing in 2001.

Irene worked as a cashier for a number of years at May D&F.

She was a thoughtful, giving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all of her family.

Irene is survived by her children, Margaret (Hugh) O’Donnell and Paul (Janine) Woody; grandchildren, Tim (Sarah) O’Donnell, Molly (Jesse) Finnick and James Woody; great-granddaughters, Rory Finnick and Katie O’Donnell; brother, Walter Hedrick; and special niece, Gay Moffit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyde Woody; and son, Ronald Woody.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 pm; and a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:00 am, both at Olinger Highland Mortuary in Thornton.
