

Isabel, 100, passed away June 22, 2016 in Broomfield, Co. She is survived by: her brother Port
Oport of Pueblo, Co; by her children Doctor David Neidig (Jill) and Andres Neidig (Anna); by her
grandchildren William (Deysi), Andrea (Beto), Eduardo, Eric, and Nicholas. Great grand
children Alberto and Antonio Loya. She was the loving wife of the late Edward William Neidig.
Isabel was born in Michoacan, Mexico during the Mexican Revolution. She traveled with her
family to Detroit, Michigan, where she was educated. She returned to Mexico with her family as
a young adult and became the English Teacher in Jojutla, Mexico. She was instrumental in the
creation of the first federal high school in the state of Morelos.
Isabel has been an acclaimedpoet with the National Society of Poetry in the US and also recognized by the Royal Society of
Poets in London, England. She resided in greater Denver since the 1960's where her life was
centered on working for a united family.
Services will be held July 8, 2016, at Nativity of Our
Lord Catholic Church 900 West Midway Blvd, Broomfield, Co at 11:00 am.
