Isabella Barajas, 87, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Florencio and Epimina; her son, Anthony; her son-in-law, Gary; and her grandson, Joseph.
She was born on November 19, 1937, in Torrington, Wyoming, to Florencio and Epimina Delgado. Isabella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished matriarch.
On November 20, 1958, Isabella married Raymond, and together they built a life filled with family, tradition, and love. Their life together began in Wyoming and eventually led them to Denver, where their journey continued to flourish.
Isabella’s faith guided her throughout her life, and she passed those values on to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Building a close-knit, faith-centered family was one of her greatest joys. Her home was open to anyone in need of a place to stay, and countless people lovingly came to know her as “Grandma.” It was the kind of home you could walk into without knocking, settle at the kitchen table, and immediately feel welcomed.
Isabella is survived by her husband, Raymond, and her children Dennis, Judy, Vincent (Mary Joy), Edmund (Pamela), and Vera (Michael). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Candice, Korey (Rachel), Davina, Meghan (Aaron K.), Dustin, Naomi (Sean), Santino, Nathan (Deanna), Vincent, and Shae (Aaron W.); and her great-grandchildren Torrance (Alyssa), Mason, and Sloane.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Isabella’s warmth and spirit will be forever cherished and never forgotten.
