Isaiah "Z" Michael Trujillo

Isaiah was born in Brighton, Colorado on November 14, 2013. He attended Foundations Academy where he earned several Moral Focus Awards for his exceptional character, integrity, and dedication to the classroom. He found great value in learning about the world - its traditions and events. Always eager to share the insight it could provide. When school wasn’t in session, he was a free spirit; lighting up others with his witty sense of humor and sarcasm that was eloquent and playful. This highlights his profound intelligence, which was well beyond his years. He was also still a kid at heart. Playing video games, riding his e-bike, and playing with his friend was where he found adventure and novelty.

Isaiah grew up with a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Although his faith was tested many times, especially upon the passing of his stepfather, who was a mentor and guide to him; he never relinquished his belief in God’s forgiveness of sins and the love Jesus has for us no matter the circumstances. Through these hard times, our faith must remind us that Jesus is close to the brokenhearted. There is no doubt Isaiah walked with closely and walks closer with Jesus still.

Isaiah will be remembered for many acts of kindness; particularly, the way he made those around him feel welcomed and valued. He had a way of making people feel loved and well cared for. He will be missed and he will be remembered. Especially for his unique personality, the one that made his family and friends feel cherished and blessed to know him. He is still known in the heart of every person who was lucky enough to be familiar with his deeply passionate heart, mind and soul.

Isaiah is preceded in death by his stepfather, Keenan Waters.

He is survived by his mother, Amanda Waters; his father, David Trujillo; and his three brothers: Joshua Hill (Lexi), Austin Hill, and Malachi Trujillo.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Orchard.Church, 12405 E 120th Ave, Brighton, CO 80640, US, on June 16, 2026, at 10:00 am.
