

Jack Delmer Brown 83, passed away on January 25th, 2020 in Gilcrest, Colorado. Jack was born on November 29th, 1936 in Benkelman, Nebraska to Earnest and Viola Brown. After graduation from high school, Jack enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country on the USS Hornet stationed in Japan. He received an honorable discharge in 1960, and married the love of his life; Charlene Ann Leonard, and together they raised six children.
Jack was known as a “jack of all trades, master of none” as over the years he sold furniture and cars; delivered milk; worked in his father-in-law’s service station; drove gas tanker trucks and owned many of his own businesses including a siding & gutter company; fruit & vegetable gardens with green houses and a liquor and convenience store.
Jack is survived by his daughter Katie Langmacher and her husband Jeff; his son Chris Haggard and his wife Kathie, his son Jerry Haggard and his son Leonard Brown and his wife Charlene; his son in law, Larry Finning; sixteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; and his sister Violet. Jack is preceded in death by his wife Charlene, his son Jackie, his daughter Tina, his parents Ernest and Viola and his siblings Hazel, Ernest, Virginia, Doris, Bob and Bonnie.
