JAMES M. (MACK) DOWNES of Thornton, CO passed away on October 30, 2013. He was born on May 25, 1926 in New Philadelphia OH. James was an Army veteran of WWII, an agent and manager of Western & Southern Life Insurance Co. for 32 years, and a life member of the Wooster OH Elk’s Lodge. James is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, Donna, of Thornton CO; a son, James A. Downes, of Covington, LA, two daughters, Pam Eastop (Mike), and Kathi Mahoney (Mike) both of Westminster CO; and four grandchildren, Allison and James Eastop, and Madison and Daniel Mahoney. James was preceded in death by brothers Bryce, William and Kenneth. Private services are pending and a committal service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver CO.
