Jane Cupp was born Jane Stacy Prather September 9, 1954 to Dorothy Ellen and Orley Elbert Prather in Havre, MT. She joined older brothers Jack Stewart and John Stephen making the initials J.S.P. very popular in their clan. Her family lived several places throughout the country for her father's work as a geophysicist ultimately settling in Littleton, CO in 1965. Although tiny in stature there was nothing tiny about her fierce determination to do what she felt in her heart was right, her sharp canny wit, her great sense of humor and her love and devotion to her family and friends.
On September, 9 1972 she married a very handsome, recently returned Marine named Gary Lee Cupp and thus began their 53 year journey. In 1974, they gave life to daughter Stacie Leigh and in 1977 gave life to son Matthew Ross. Jane was wholly devoted to her family as an excellent law-enforcement wife, homemaker (or domestic goddess she liked to say) and mama. She was very involved in her kid's PTA and their myriads of extra-curricular activities and was an exceptional planner/organizer and party giver! Jane also had an extraordinary talent for interior home design and décor.
In 1995, Jane welcomed her first grandbaby, Lauren Jayne (Stacie's daughter), followed by her son’s daughters, Faith Melanie (2005) and granddaughters Krystal Jordan (2015) and Lilly Emma (2016). She was just as loving and devoted to her grandkids as her own kids and was still making treat bags for their classrooms just days before she went home.
She was known for her kindness, generosity and amazing sense of humor by family and friends. Her favorite thing to do was travel with her family, taking them to the UK and Ireland on many occasions. She also loved Estes Park and took her family and friends there for week long stays.
Jane's beautiful spirit touched many lives and will continue to carry on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers. Jane is survived by her husband, Gary Cupp (Brighton), daughter Stacie Gammel (Glen Gammel, Brighton), son Matthew Cupp (Kris Cupp, Henderson), granddaughter Lauren Cupp (Sherman Oaks, CA), granddaughter Faith Cupp (Thornton), and granddaughters Krystal and Lilly Cupp.
There will be no service or funeral.
