Janet Lee Staton

Janet was a 1976 graduate of Mapleton High School. On July 21, 1979, she married Denis Staton, with whom she shared over 20 years of marriage until his passing in February of 2000. Together, they raised three children, Tanya, Tiffany and Denis.

Janet was employed for many years as a secretary, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and loyalty to her company. She took great pride in her work and built lasting relationships with her colleagues.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Janet found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished time spent with her seven grandchildren and could often be found cheering them on at their games and activities. She loved being a grandmother and was deeply devoted to her family.

In her leisure time, Janet enjoyed bowling, Bunko and had a fondness for the color, peach. Her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229, on October 29, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A committal service will follow at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
