Janice Jean Jones was born on September 25,1951 in Santa Ana, California to William Woodrow Racobs and Inez Irene Harrell-Racobs. Janice was the 8th child of 9 born to William and Inez. Janice was very close to all of her siblings, in order, her late Brother John, her Brothers Thomas, James, Gary, her Sister Sharon, her late Brother Michael, her sister Cindy, and her youngest Sister Robin. While growing up Janice enjoyed roller skating, riding her bicycle, counted cross stitching, music, and she played the violin in her school music program. Janice met Steven Edward Jones, her late husband, in early 1969 and of course they fell in love and they were soon married. Janice and Steven had 3 children. Steven Jr., Richard and Tammy. As time went on their Family grew and Janice and Steve Sr. became Grandparents to 9 Grandchildren and eventually Great-Grandparents to 9 Great-Grandchildren. Janice lost her beloved husband Steve on January 20, 2005, and she was heartbroken. Janice became even more faithful in reading her Bible and having her morning devotions. Janice was a hard worker throughout the years, from waitressing in earlier years to working in a gas station convenience store for the last almost 18 years of her life. This was a blessing because Janice was able to make friends and she shared her faith with those she knew, and she knew a lot of people. It seemed like we couldn’t go anywhere and She would see someone she knew. She was a caring and kindhearted person. She loved telling stories of her life to her Grandchildren and to her Nieces and Nephews. Just after Janice was diagnosed with her illness Janice was heartbroken with the loss of her Grandson Jacob. This unexpected loss was devastating to her and to her family, and Janice’s health seemed to decline more. Janice never lost her faith in the Lord. She was sensitive and forgiving of others. She loved her family Dearly and prayed for them faithfully. Janice believed that Jesus would come again, and her words were always What a Glorious day that will be, whenever she would talk about the Lord coming again. Well, the next face you’ll see is Jesus’s face, Janice, and yes, what a Glorious Day that will be!!
