Jack was born on January 12, 2008. In his 18 years, he lived a life full of grit, heart, and quiet strength. He faced more than most ever will, and he carried it in a way that showed just how tough and resilient he truly was.
He was the kind of person you don’t come across often. He was real, steady, and someone people could count on. Jack didn’t need to say much to be understood. Whether it was a look, a laugh, or just being there, he had a way of making people feel known.
He loved the outdoors, the smell of dirt and diesel, and the kind of life that keeps your hands busy and your mind clear. He had a natural gift when it came to diesels, and it was something he took pride in. More than anything, he valued his people. His family, friends, and the ones he held close.
Jack shared an unbreakable bond with his sister, Gabreelle Porter, who knew him as her brother, her best friend, and her constant. Their connection was something words could never fully explain.
He is survived by his sister, Gabreelle Porter and Joshua Lozen; his sister, Elexia Thompson and her fiancé, Ozzie Lozano, and their daughter, Elliette Lozano; his sister, Kimberlynn Thompson; his girlfriend, Ashtyn Smith; and his mother, Teresa Thompson and her boyfriend Brandon, along with many friends and loved ones who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dianna Angelo, and his father, Michael Thompson Jr.
Jack was taken far too soon, but the way he lived, the strength he showed, and the love he gave won’t fade. His memory will ride on in every story told, every mile driven, and every quiet moment where he’s felt but not seen.
Ride high, Jack. We’ll carry you with us down every road we turn on from here on out.
