Jerry was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather who brought light into the lives of all who knew him. His sense of humor was infectious; his laughter could fill a room and his stories were always guaranteed to bring a smile. A dedicated family man, Jerry cherished his time with his children and grandchildren. His presence at family gatherings was a highlight for many, his warmth and laughter making every moment special.
Jerry loved hunting and fishing. When he was casting a line in a serene lake or navigating through the woods, he found peace and joy in nature. He loved cheering on his favorite teams. He was a fan of the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos. Jerry also enjoyed spending time in Blackhawk and Central City, spending time with friends and gambling.
Jerry’s life touched many, and his memory will continue to be cherished by those who knew him. He is survived by his children; Theresa (Cliff) Rudolph; Jackie (Gary) Sandoval; Renee (Don) Martinez and Tony Vigil; along with his brother, Alex Vigil.
He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of 10 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren and his little chihuahua Zorro.
Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine Vigil, and his son, Donald Vigil. He was also preceded by his father, Ben Vigil, his mother, Josephine Quintana, and his siblings Christopher Vigil, Ben Vigil, George Vigil, Clyde Vigil, Dave Vigil, and Raymond Vigil.
