

Jesse Thomas Roe Jr (Tom), beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 15th, 2024 in Brighton, Colorado. He was born on November 27th 1959 in Denver, Colorado to the late Jesse Thomas Roe Sr and Jessie May (Edwards) Roe.
Tom grew up and attended schools in the Denver Area, and graduated from Northglenn High in 1978.
After graduation, he worked at the Denver Sheriff’s Department from 1980 to 1987, and the Adams County Sheriff Department from 1988 to 2009, retiring after 21 years of service. He started in the jail and moved to patrol, working as a field training officer and finishing his career in law enforcement as a K-9 handler.
Friends and family were a huge part of his life. Tom loved the mountains and spending time fishing and hunting with his friends and family, often taking trips to Wyoming and Montana to visit his family. Tom loved his Law Enforcement family and kept in touch with many of his blue brothers through out the years. Tom enjoyed music and playing in a band with friends.
Tom is survived by a host of family including his loving children, Derek and Danielle, and grandchildren Dublin and Jesse, Sisters Judy Sowatzke and Ruby Burditt, as well as many loving nieces, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life will take place 11:00am Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at Olinger Funeral Home, 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado.
