He is survived by his wife Mary Ann; daughter Kimberly (Mark) Brunner; two grandchildren Grace Brunner and Faith (Eli) Andersen; three siblings Ron (Donna) Jensen, Linda (Ron) Stugart and Jeff (Maxine) Guill, many nieces, nephews and many friends.
For 26 years Jim was the owner of an automotive business (Quality Auto Care) where he treated every customer with dignity and made it clear that his customers were important to him.
Jim and his wife Mary Ann have been members of Crossroads Church since 2004, and he also was part of the church family at Mountain View Baptist Church in La Veta, CO, pastored by his son-in-law, Mark Brunner.
A Celebration Of Life service and reception will be held at Olinger Highland Mortuary (10201 Grant St. Thornton, CO) on October 7, 2026 at 10am. A light luncheon will be served.
