I met Joanne while volunteering with Susan G. Komen. She used her love of self-expression and creativity to establish an annual tradition of having a Memorial Flower Garden at the Race for the Cure. Each flower was embellished by volunteers in honor of breast cancer survivors as well as for loved ones who had lost their battle. This tradition was later expanded in the winter months with a Snowflake Garden for Komen's Snowshoe for the Cure event in Frisco, CO. A lovely legacy left behind by a lovely individual. God bless you, Joanne!

First, my condolences go out to Joanne's family and friends. I worked with Joanne for a number of years during her time at Channel 4. She was pleasant, kind and always seemed to wear a smile.
She was passionate about the Race for the Cure as she could be seen in the station hallways promoting the upcoming event.
Joanne, you will be missed.
