Jose L. Muniz

Jose L. Muniz left us to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 8th, 2021. He was born April 19, 1926 in Llano, New Mexico to the late Herculano Muniz and Abelina Muniz (Sanchez), siblings Bernie Arguello, Placida Rodarte, Priscilla Sanchez, Orlando Muniz, Tony Muniz, and Bertha Martinez.

He was married to the late Benita A Muniz for 66 years prior to her passing, preceded by son's Abelito Muniz and Lawrence Muniz; Survived by son Tito Muniz and daughters Florinda (Angie) Sandoval, Gloria Cunningham, Della Muniz and Darlene Muniz. He has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.

Jose worked hard his entire life caring for his family, as a union worker. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his greatest joy. He would always surprise all of the children with suckers or candy. When we said good bye and I love you, he would always respond with "No, no, I love you more!"

Jose and Benita Muniz had family fellowship every Sunday in their home with delicious food for everyone who stopped by. He will be missed tremendously by all. He left a legacy of love.

The viewing will be held at Olinger Highland Mortuary located at 10201 Grant St., Thornton, Coloraod 80229, Thursday June 24th, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday June 26th, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The funeral service will he held Friday July 9th, 2021 starting at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at 2:00 PM.
