Joseph Anthony Lattone died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Beth, daughter Victoria Lynn and her mother Linda, uncle Joe Emaus, cousin Tracy, sister in-law Joy Knoblauch, and nieces June and Eleanor, along with many other cherished extended family members.
He was born in Paterson, New Jersey, and was a lifelong proud son of that city. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and served honorably in the Vietnam War. He left the East and moved to Colorado in the 1970s where he made many meaningful contributions to the state throughout his long citizenship, including retiring as a Command Sergeant Major from the National Guard after training and mentoring an untold number of soldiers and helping to bring Rockies baseball to the city of Denver. He loved the mountains, cooking for friends and family, going to the casino, attending plays and musicals, and every cat we adopted. He was strong, funny, and a true friend to anyone he loved. We will all miss Joe.
A Graveside Service for Joseph will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 9:15 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80236.
